Episode 30:
From Static Guide to App (Part 1)

Hey friends,

I had a problem.

I wrote this comprehensive Notion guide last year for you about building your personal AI agent stack.

7 chapters, tons of insights, put a lot of work into it.

But here’s the thing.. static guides don’t get finished.

People skim. They bookmark it for later. They read chapter 1 and bounce.

I wanted something different.

Something that would actually guide people through the content, chapter by chapter.

Something that felt like an experience, not a document.

So I asked Claude Cowork if we could turn it into an interactive learning experience.

I was absolutely shocked at how well it planned, executed and delivered.

Tomorrow, I’m sharing the LIVE link. Can’t wait for you to see it!

(You’ll be the first to try it. Keep reading to see the teaser video below)

Keep a look out for tomorrow’s email where I share Part 2.

But today, let me show you how this actually happened and what makes it different from anything I’ve created before.

📌 What I Built

An interactive 7-chapter learning experience that transforms a static Notion guide into something people actually complete.

Here’s what it includes:

  • Landing page: Enter email to access content
  • Chapter-by-chapter: Learn step by step at your own pace
  • Track progress: Pick up exactly where you left off
  • Optional quizzes: Test your knowledge
  • Certificate on completion: Share your achievement on Threads or LinkedIn
  • Direct Kit integration: Every signup flows into my email list with proper tagging

This is a PRODUCTION READY web app that looks professional AND actually works.

This ain’t a prototype!

✨ How Claude Helped Me Build (Without Being An Engineer)

I’m going to be honest: this felt like magic.

The entire process was conversational.

I described what I wanted, Claude Cowork built it, I gave feedback, we iterated.

Here’s the first 2 steps (tune in tomorrow for the next steps AND direct access to the app).

✅ 1. Describing the Vision

I started by explaining the problem.

“I created a Notion guide about building your AI Agent stack that’s really comprehensive, but it’s just text. I want to turn it into an interactive experience for my community where they progress chapter by chapter, test knowledge with quizzes, and they get a certificate at the end.”

Claude asked clarifying questions:

  • Should quizzes be mandatory or optional?
  • What information do you need from signups?
  • Do you want to capture emails before or after they start?

We talked through the flow like I was explaining it to a designer.

No code.

Just conversation about what I wanted users to experience.

(this is when it started to get WILD)

✅ 2. Iterating on the User Experience

The first version had too many screens.

Landing → Email → Welcome → Chapter Intro → Content → Chapter Complete → Quiz → Next Chapter

I tested it and felt the friction immediately.

“This is too many clicks. Remove the chapter intro screens. Make the quizzes optional. Get rid of the XP system, it’s adding complexity without enough value.”

Claude Cowork updated EVERYTHING in minutes.

The final flow became much smoother:

Landing → Email + Name → Course Intro → Content → (Optional Quiz) → Next Chapter

That’s the power of this workflow.

I could feel what was wrong, describe it in plain language, and watch it change.

PRO tip: Make sure to use PLAN mode first before any major code changes. Iterate until you approve.

🎥 Here’s What It Looks Like

Quick teaser video of what’s included and what the app looks like.

What you’re seeing here was also generated by Claude (that’s a story for a different day).

Tomorrow, I’m sharing the actual link so you can try it yourself!

I’ll also walk you through the technical integrations and deployment process.

🫡 Final Thoughts

Just a few days ago, I had a Notion guide..basically a static word doc.

Today, I have something that ACTUALLY guides people through the content and generates personalized certificates.

The whole digital PDF industry is about to turn on its head.

The wildest part for me was the entire process was just conversation..

Tune in tomorrow to see exactly how we handled the professional integrations (Kit email capture, certificate generation, live deployment).

If you’re a creator sitting on content that could be more interactive, or you have product ideas but don’t know how to build them.. tune in tomorrow.

I think you’ll want to see what’s possible.

To building without barriers,
